2014 Party in the Park

In 2014 we changed the name of the event to Creech Party in the Park.  We had more stalls and activities in the day and although the weather wasn’t quite the scorcher it was in 2013, it remained dry until around 4pm when the daytime event was wrapping up.

The organisers had a mild panic around 7pm when the gates and indeed the heavens opened and we had one almighty downpour of rain.  Luckily it was very short lived and it remained mild and dry for the rest of the evening.

We had the reception class of CSM Primary school do a little dance demonstration in the marquee followed by an early evening kids disco including lots of party games  (thanks to Corinne Miller and Sue Burrows for leading the kids dances!)

Our 10 piece funk and disco band Groov-a-licious were outside this time on a lorry back (huge thanks to Gillards Transport for the loan of this) which worked brilliantly as everyone could see and hear them and there was enough room for people to have a good old dance! People brought their own chairs and gazebos and used the straw bales from the day (thanks to David House of Tetton Farm for the loan of these) as seats.
